2020 Porsche Cayenne vs 2020 Porsche Cayenne Coupe

Serving Brentwood, TN

When Porsche released the Cayenne as its midsize luxury crossover SUV, it departed from the typical Porsche sports car body style. It was the first 4-door Porsche model offered. Today, the Cayenne is in its third generation, and it is provided in a traditional Cayenne body style as well as a sporty Cayenne Coupe style. These vehicles share numerous similarities, but they also have striking differences. Before taking home a new Porsche, further review of these two stunning options is essential.

Performance

The 2020 Porsche Cayenne is offered in five trims. The base trim comes with a V6 turbocharged engine that produces 335 horsepower. The top option is a hybrid variation of this powertrain that offers combined 670 horsepower. These same powertrains are available across the Cayenne Coupe’s five trims for the 2020 model year. Both models come with all-wheel drive, an 8-speed Tiptronic auto transmission, electromechanical power steering, stability management, an aluminum multi-link front axle, and other well-designed equipment.

Appearance

The Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe for 2020 have similar design elements across the front end. This includes a sporty grille with horizontal bars that curve around to the sides slightly as well as a sculpted hood with a sharp downward swoop. The side panels are also similar to a great look that is defined by bold contouring. The Cayenne’s profile is robust yet aerodynamic thanks to subtle curvature throughout the roof. The roofline ends in a sporty spoiler over the liftgate, and the rear has a protruding definition, LED taillights, and dual chrome exhaust tips.

In comparison, the Cayenne Coupe’s roofline is shortened. The rear window and liftgate angle sharply outward and downward past the spoiler. The liftgate’s slope ends at the taillight bar. While the back end of the Cayenne Coupe also has a definition, it does not have protruding elements like the Cayenne’s rear has. Also, it has quad chrome-tipped exhaust finishers.

Features

Across the five unique trims for the Cayenne and the Cayenne Coupe, you will find similar standard and optional features. These include heated leather seats, a large touch-screen interface, a multi-zone climate control system with air filtration, smartphone integration, an online navigation system, a smartphone app for remote vehicle control and monitoring, a premium audio system, a communication management system, a push-button ignition with remote start, power windows, a power sunroof, power door locks with speed-sensing functionality, cruise control, numerous assistive safety features and other desired equipment. With significant differences from trim to trim, closer comparison is required through a test drive.
